MATHEMATICS:

The following courses are offered to the students:

B.Sc. in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics [Three - year degree course]
[All admissions to this course - as per rules and regulations of HNB Garhwal University and the college]

Course Titles of Mathematics and maximum marks in examination, 2008-

In examination of every Part, there will be three papers of theory. Maximum marks for first and second paper is 65 while maximum marks for third paper is 70.

B.Sc. Part-One-
Paper-I: Matrices, Trigonometry and Vector Analysis, Paper-II: Calculus, Paper-III: Geometry of two and three dimensions;

B.Sc. Part-Two-
Paper-I: Abstract Algebra (Group Theory and Ring Theory), Paper-II: Differential Equation, Convergence and Divergence, Paper-III: Statics and Dynamics;

B.Sc. Part-Three-
Paper-I: Linear Algebra and Linear Programming, Paper-II: Analysis, Paper-III: Any one of the following: [a] Numerical Analysis, [b] Mathematical Statistics, [c] Spherical Trigonometry & Astronomy
[Option will be available subject to the approval of the Head of the Department depending upon availability of resources. For the year 2007-08, only course III [b] is available for study.]
