CHEMISTRY

CHEMISTRY:

The following courses are offered to the students:
B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics [Three - year degree course]
B.Sc. in Botany, Chemistry and Zoology [Three - year degree course]

[All admissions to this course - as per rules and regulations of HNB Garhwal University and the college]

Course Titles of Chemistry and maximum marks in examination, 2008-
In examination of every Part, there will be three papers of theory and one practical. Maximum marks for every paper is 50.

B.Sc. Part-One-
Paper-I: Inorganic Chemistry, Paper-II: Organic Chemistry, Paper-III: Physical Chemistry; plus Practical

B.Sc. Part-Two-
Paper-I: Inorganic Chemistry, Paper-II: Organic Chemistry, Paper-III: Physical Chemistry; plus Practical

B.Sc. Part-Three-
Paper-I: Inorganic Chemistry, Paper-II: Organic Chemistry, Paper-III: Physical Chemistry; plus Practical

Each theory paper will be divided in 3 sections. Section-I will consist 16 objective type questions each carrying 1 mark. Section-II will consist 7 short-answer questions each carrying 2 marks. In Section-III, student will have to attempt any five long-answer questions out of 8 questions each carrying 4 marks. In final practical examination, students have to perform at least two practicals decided by the internal examiners.
